You have to realize the Internet as a resource for all kinds of creative ideas, and most of them do not have to be very expensive at all.

The biggest thing I would say is speak your first daughter. Get their input. After everything she's not a baby now .. she has opinions and attitudes that make a difference.

She spends much time in her bedroom when she, like otherteenagers I know, so getting it right will score you a lot of cool points. So make an effort to work with her so that her bedroom reflects her sense of style and not just yours. What kind of personality does she have.. is she outgoing wild and fun.. or more reserved and shy...?

If she's shy, she probably won't want a bedroom decked out in neon orange and black I would imagine...

Since the bed is naturally the main focal point of her bedroom, start there.

Does she need new Linen ... if so, what colors can both of you on the blanket or sheets and blankets. Go for the bedding to complement or offset your blanket or comforter so the color choice is not all in the mix and too overwhelming.

For example, we would you say that would be green and shades of green for the quilts and blankets or good. Why do not you go for a bold pink for your sheets and pillowcases to make everything on the road and look really cool ...? Perhaps it isTime to have fun and think outside the box if you do it with all your favorite teenager. Get funky. You will love it and so will you.

Remember to check the window treatments too, and keep away from drab gray and dull colors and textures. Mix it up, maybe you can find some cord or other interesting material in dark green or pink for her curtains with my example there.

Try a really cool novelty clock for the walls. Add a few interesting shaped mirrors. Let them addsome of their favorite poster and add more interest by designing them with really cool art deco frames. Not too expensive either, if you check your local hobby shop.

Do not forget area rugs and complementing the colors and textures too. You could add some fresh paint, dress up areas of the wall with stencils, which are also very cheap at your local hobby shop.
